Hexie paper punch.

So easy to use and I think it will be a lot cheaper than having to buy the packs. I hate to order them and then I have to wait for them to come in when you want to sew!
For me I found this was the perfect weight and paper. Brand of color doesn't matter, your preference. It's the weight of the paper so that it's heavy enough to make your Hexie but not so heavy that it's hard to punch them out. That could break your punch.
I think I paid $15 and I got 95 sheets. Hope to find paper cheaper someplace else. I can get 20 punched out of one sheet of paper. So that makes 1900,  I paid $20.00 for a pack of 600. At least that's almost a 30 Dollar savings or more. I can take the time to punch out my own Hexie's. If I punch out all 95 sheets it will officially pay for my punch and my Hexie's.
The brand is only a suggestion it's the weight of the paper that counts.
Mine's made by Fiskars.
Remember ladies, if you try to punch more than 1 sheet at a time
 you could break your punch.

Okay been sick!

Got the stuff that's been going around. All my joints hurt coughing, coughing, been miserable. That's why I haven't posted anything. Today's been the first decent day.
Finally felt good enough to do a little sewing. Been missing it.

It will make approximately 32 cookies unfilled
First let's make the filling. It needs to cool down
                                                              for at least two hours.

                                                           German chocolate filling

                                        Pinch of salt
Cooking filling
                                       After sauce is cooked add
                                       1 cup nuts
                                       1 cup coconut

Stir together, bring to a boil on medium heat. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and add nuts and coconut stir until combined. Cool till needed.

                                                              Lets fill the cookies
2-3 teaspoons of filling on the bottom of a cookie
Filling that has been added

Time to add another border. And leaves to my last flowerpot. Maybe then I'll get the center done. I keep putting this part off. Think it's picking out the colors.

Yes I got quilting done.

I got my first rounds sew on them. Pretty good for being sick all Sunday night. Didn't start to feel better until late this afternoon. I either got to much heat from helping Mr. Tim out side or I ate something bad.

New water outlets.

This is what Tim did for me over the weekend so that I would not have to drag four water hoses just to water my yard.

Aerial view

Tim took this picture while standing on top of our new den that were building.
I just love Adding new plants to our yard.
And so does Mr. Tim. Garden centers get us in trouble.
