My forth block

Block three

Block two

Block one
I'm working on a Quilt that is sponsored by "Quilt Along by Karen H." wwwfaeriesandsfibresblobspot
So far this is been lots of fun learning a lot about different values of colors.
You get a new block to create every two weeks. They total of 18 blocks in the end.
This will be a 61 x 71" quilt top before the borders are added. And each block will have a triple path encircling them. This all to be very nice.
I'm not sure about this first block as time goes on I may come back and redo this one. Time will tell.
What do you think?

A few pictures of my garden in Corpus Christi Texas on the coast

This is a young garden I've only had it for three years. I'm constantly looking for stuff they can stand the extreme heat. I have trees (lots of fruit trees that is) but they're all baby trees. My philosophy is who lives gets the space. Any color goes any plant goes I love variety. Love the way it looks right now it's so green and lush.
Still learning to grow vegetables and raise beds. One thing I did find that you got to fertilize them. It makes them grow so much better. Go figure! Oh and don't over fertilize that burns them just like to sun.
I husband laughed at me and said if we had to feed or self out of our little garden we Starve to death.
So far we've got two tomatoes 2 cups of green beans and a big container of pesto. Oh and some onions. But I'm having fun.

My husband supper.

Homemade lamb spaghetti sauce. Just wish I had some Parmesan.
It sounds funny but my husband is a truck driver at night so when he comes home at eight in the morning he's ready for supper when the rest of us are ready for breakfast and coffee.

Okay something about me.

I'm 59 years old I was born in Pensacola Florida. I started sewing when I was about 16 years old. At  that time there was nobody in my family that sewed I thought. Now I know I had a grandfather in Boston was a Taylor. See we get our talents from someplace.
I'm extremely dyslexic so there will be times when spellcheck does not catch my missed spell words. So I hope all understand!  I hope as time goes on I can add more thoughts and more things about my life.
I have sewed many things in my life. Everyday things for my daughter. A wedding dress for my girlfriends daughter. Lots of Renaissance costumes. And quilts.
I think now at this time in my life I'm enjoying making Quilts more than anything else. Maybe I can make some things to pass down to my family.

And this is my granddaughters Quilt.

For the love of sewing: This is the quilt that I made for my grandson
